In February 2011, Helios, in partnership with Vitol Group (“Vitol”) reached an agreement to purchase for approximately $1 billion the downstream fuels business of Royal Dutch Shell PLC (“Shell”) in a number of African countries. Today, Vivo Energy has a network of over 2,100 Shell and Engen branded service stations in 23 countries, and exports lubricants to a number of others.
In May 2018, Vivo Energy conducted an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange and a secondary inward listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
