In July 2013, Helios reached an agreement to provide growth capital to build an online retail business, Mall for Africa (MFA), backing an experienced, talented and entrepreneurial Nigeria-based management team. Mall for Africa is an innovative online shopping platform that provides access to top US and UK retail sites, initially focused on Nigeria. The company has subsequently extended its product offering to include a B2B product, Link Commerce, which leverages MFA’s technology and platform in a white label offering, designed to enable consumer businesses offer a one-of a-kind cross border e-commerce offering to their customers. This product is offered as Software as a Service (SaaS) model to financial services, logistics and e-commerce sectors seeking to expand their consumer product offering with value added services. This high-growth offering has enabled the company to expand to over 30 countries in Africa, as well as to Latin America, and is the core growth driver of the business today.
