Tosin Awoyinka has over 15 years of relevant professional experience. He joined Helios in August 2018 from TPG/Greensphere Capital in London, where he was a Vice President in the Sustainable Infrastructure Investments team. Prior to TPG/Greensphere, Tosin was an Associate focused on Infrastructure and Transportation M&A at Evercore in London. He started his career as an Analyst at Citi’s Infrastructure and Transportation group in London and also worked with Citi’s M&A group in Los Angeles. He holds an MA in Economics and Management from Hertford College, University of Oxford. Tosin is a Nigerian and British national.
Building lasting relationships is central to what Tosin does, and he continues to build an extensive network to support Helios' origination and investment capabilities. Supported by a foundation of corporate finance experience spanning public and private capital markets, equity and fixed income, and both buyside and selling M&A, Tosin prides himself on a personable approach in interacting with clients and a solution-oriented approach to solving problems.
Tosin loves the collaborative and entrepreneurial environment at Helios, where he can leverage his skills to contribute to the growth of innovative businesses across Africa. The digital infrastructure space is the lifeblood and enabler of much more than we might realize; facilitating internet access is ultimately the foundation of technologically driven growth and broad economic prosperity. Outside of work, you'd be hard-pressed to enter Tosin's family home on a given evening or weekend without hearing a variety of music—from Najia beats to South African house, to Caribbean Soca and UK pop.
