Sector expertise

Sam Franklin is a Director of Investor Relations and Capital Formation at Helios. Sam was previously Head of Investor Relations for Cibus Capital, a leading food and agriculture private equity platform with institutional investors from across the world. At Westhall Partners, he closely assisted major institutional investors such as Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, and Family Offices with their search for private market managers. Beforehand, he was a Vice President within the Equities division at Barclays Capital with a focus on listed European equity. Sam is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, holds the CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Bath.
He brings extensive experience in relationship management, leveraging global relationships with a wide range of investor types to assist them in finding solutions for their specific and differing investment or allocation needs. Sam excels in breaking down complex investment ideas to provide simple solutions that correctly address investor needs with respect to private markets. His strategic thinking allows him to develop products and solutions based on investor demand, providing differentiated and suitable access to private markets. Additionally, his analytical skills enable him to provide insightful analysis and information, allowing allocators to make informed decisions and be confident in making the right choice.
