Rupeen Khagram is an accomplished finance professional with over 18 years of experience in private equity, asset management, and corporate finance. He brings a deep understanding of LP reporting, valuations, and financial structuring, as well as expertise in creating and maintaining robust financial control environments.
Since joining Helios in 2008, Rupeen has played an integral role in shaping the financial operations of Africa’s leading private investment firm. His contributions support Helios’ ability to deliver sustainable growth and value creation across its portfolio. Prior to Helios, Rupeen worked at KPMG London in the Private Equity Advisory Group, where he advised a diverse range of private equity and investment management clients. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London, gaining experience in accounting, tax, and advisory services for companies and partnerships across various industries.
Rupeen holds a BA (Hons) in Business Economics from Nottingham Business School and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Originally from Kenya, Rupeen is fluent in Swahili and maintains strong personal and professional ties to the continent.
Outside of work, Rupeen is passionate about sports, particularly golf, tennis, and cycling. He loves travelling and cherishing time with friends and family.
