Max von Trotha is a seasoned professional with 24 years of experience in business transformation and operational excellence. As Managing Director of Portfolio Operations at Helios, Max applies his expertise in strategy development, commercial excellence, process and systems optimization as well as organizational design to help portfolio companies achieve sustainable growth and operational success.
Before joining Helios in 2018, Max served as Director Commercial Marketing at EE, the UK's leading mobile operator. His prior roles included Director of Customer Experience and Director of Performance Management at EE, where he led significant operational improvements after the merger of Orange and T-Mobile in the UK. He began his career at Arthur D. Little in Germany, building a strong foundation in strategic consulting.
Max holds a management degree from Universität des Saarlandes, as well as a German Diplom-Kaufmann and a French Diplôme Grande Ecole from ESCP-EAP European School of Management. A German national, he is fluent in English, German and French.
Outside of work, Max enjoys spending time on the water. His ideal weekend involves sailing with family and old friends, followed by a good dinner—a reflection of his passion for connection and the great outdoors.
