Jamie Hollins brings 22 years of professional experience in private equity and investment banking, with a deep focus on Southern Africa. As an Operating Partner on the Portfolio Operations Team at Helios, Jamie leverages his extensive regional expertise and strong network to support portfolio companies in solving complex challenges. Known for his hands-on, personable approach, he excels at working with management teams to drive growth and create value.
Jamie joined Helios in 2020, having previously collaborated with the firm as a consultant. Before Helios, he founded and served as CEO of Growth Capital Partners in South Africa, where he led private equity transactions in SME businesses. Earlier in his career, Jamie was Head of Corporate Finance at African Merchant Bank in Johannesburg and started his professional journey at KPMG.
A Chartered Accountant, Jamie holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Outside of work, Jamie is a keen runner and cyclist, enjoying the opportunity to stay active and explore the outdoors. Originally from South Africa, he remains deeply connected to the continent.
