Jad Shams brings 23 years of capital formation experience across all asset classes, client segments, channels, and countries in the Gulf. He holds a CAIA, a Certificate in Financial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Economics & Political Science from McGill University. Before joining Helios, Jad was Head of Investor Relations at Rakiza Infrastructure Fund in Muscat and held senior roles at Mirae Asset, Natixis Global Asset Management, Amundi, and Deutsche Asset Management.

Jad is passionate about Africa's growth potential and is involved in various Helios strategies, including the flagship PE Fund, Digital Ventures, Climate Fund and the Helios Sports & Entertainment platform.
Outside of work, Jad enjoys motor sports, water sports, linguistics, anthropology, history, archaeology, and cosmology.
