Fope Adelowo has over 18 years of professional experience investing in and supporting the growth of technology and fintech businesses across Africa. As Principal on Helios’ Investment Team, Fope leads the firm’s investments in technology and fintech sectors, leveraging her deep expertise in these areas. Her previous role in Helios’ portfolio operations team focused on driving value creation for portfolio companies in Nigeria.
Before joining Helios in 2014, Fope was a Fellow in the Principal Investment Group at CardinalStone Partners in Lagos. She also held roles in the Emerging Markets Structured Products and Fixed Income teams at Goldman Sachs in London. Her diverse professional journey includes experience with Boston Consulting Group and Jumia, Africa's leading e-commerce platform.
Fope currently serves on the Board of Directors of Paymob, TPAY Mobile, Thunes and SeamlessHR. She is actively involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a mentor and Screening Committee member for Techstars Nigeria (2022). She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MEng from Imperial College London, graduating with first-class honors.
Outside of work, Fope enjoys travel, exploring new cultures, and indulging her creative side through art and design.
