Catherine Steere

Catherine Steere has more than 10 years of investment and financing experience and is a member of Helios’ Sports & Entertainment Group (HSEG). She joined Helios in January 2020 to focus on capital markets and, alongside her HSEG role, continues to provide strategic financing advice to deal teams across the firm. She joined HSEG full-time in 2026, combining her investment experience with an affinity for the sectors the team invests in. Prior to Helios, Catherine worked at Standard Bank in the Leveraged Finance team both in London and South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town.
Outside of work, Catherine is an avid sports and music fan. Originally from South Africa, she travels home often with her husband and young daughter (who can more often than not be seen sporting a Springboks jersey).
